Description of Support Provided

The project seeks to support Kenya's efforts to establish a domestic Measurement, Reporting, and Verifiable (MRV) system for tracking the implementation of NDC in the energy and transport sectors.

ICAT support to Kenya is to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Needs and gaps assessment for MRV in the energy and transport sectors
  • Strengthen institutional arrangements for MRV in the transport and energy sectors
  • Capacity developed for data management, to track NDC implementation in the transport and energy sectors, based on ICAT guidance
  • A road map to ensure the sustainability of ICAT outcomes
